New Releases:
In this section, we cover new file releases that we find notable. If something catches your interest, go download and start printing!
Unbullpupped WA2000 Now Sailing
Starting with a fresh release from CipherPrints2A of the Black Lotus Coalition, the UBPWA2000 is a semiautomatic 5.56 rifle modeled after the famous WA2000. This is far from a standard parts kit gun however, as it utilizes a printed upper similar to the Biden’s Bane. It requires a standard set of AR parts, including bolt, barrel and FCG, to build out.
It’s a neat project that will turn some heads at the range. Go check it out!
Soundshock Neo - Printable Beretta U22 Neo Frame
This design is five years in the making! From developer Soundshock of the Gatalog comes the Soundshock Neo, a printable frame for the Beretta U22 Neo.
If, like me, you have never heard of this gun, it’s described as a Ruger Mark-like pistol chambered in .22LR. If you happen to find a parts kit for one, now you can reactivate it into a functioning gun!
GrixxlyPrints Brings The Launcher Shells
Last issue we shared info about developer GrixxlyPrints’s multistage 15mm shell project. This project is now available for download, so you can start developing your own fireworks display!
Also from Grixxly is a beta version for a 37mm version, developed around the MSS system. Now we’re talking!
Printable Magazines with Metal Feed Lips
The Riptide Rails metal feed lips* have been around for some time now, originally intended to be used with a v3 of the Menendez Mag. That projects seems to have stalled, but Unseenkiller has picked up the slack, releasing two projects recently that utilize those rails!
The Sten x Sten project uses the inserts to reinforce the lips on a printable Sten mag. Meanwhile the Tor mag RR utilizes them in their original context for Glock mags.

Glock Switches for Days
Glock may be salty about switches, but that’s not stopping developer Kommissar from collecting, developing and releasing a handful of switch designs. It feels like it’s been a while since we’ve seen innovation in this area, so it’s neat to see someone working on them!
I feel I must acknowledge that, based on notes in some of these projects it seems like there’s a beef going on between this dev and another. I know nothing about it and am just here for the guns.
Open Pew Dev Launches Form 1 Tool
You’re not the last kid on the block without a suppressor, are you? If you are, there’s a tool to help you with getting your paperwork done. Developer fbgc (of the Open Pew project) has launched a web tool that allows you to upload your fingerprints and generate your EFT file, for submission with your Form 1 application.
At this time, this service is running on the Open Pew website, and there is a fee to use it. These aspects created some controversy when first announced, but I find fbgc’s responses reasonable. He is also planning an open source version, which we will of course report on when it launches!
Updates:
In this section we will mention updates to major releases - fixes, new variants, etc.
WA2022 Receives an Update
Gee Alyosha, how come your newsletter has two WA2000s? The WA2022 from Black Lotus Coalition, a visual mod for the 10/22 first released in 2024, got a documentation update recently. Don’t want to go the whole hog into an UBPWA2000? This is an easier way to scratch that WA2000 itch!
NULL-22 / NOT-A-GLOCK Get Their (Final?) Updates
Developer Ju5t3nc4s3 has released what he claims will be the final updates to the NULL-22 and NOT-A-GLOCK platforms. For those just joining us, these are both fully DIY handgun designs that look like Glock pistols, both chambered in .22LR. The NOT-A-GLOCK update backports several of the NULL-22 upgrades onto the original NAG, which is neat.
Ju5t3nc4s3 claims that the NULL zip package contains some very well hidden spicy files, which only a few have found so far. Up for a treasure hunt, anyone?
New Betas:
In this section we round up recently opened betas. Help support development by joining these betas and testing!
Overview on Mac n’ Cheese v3 / M-M11 S Upper
In our last issue we briefly mentioned the public announcement of Middleton Made’s Mac n’ Cheese v3, and the related M-M11 S Upper. I have since learned more about this design, and I’m eager to share it with you!
According to Middleton, the key part (and legally, the firearm) is the side plate, which can be made from metal, and is being tested for printing in a strong filament like GF Nylon. These plates can also be sold as non-firearm blanks and drilled using a printable jig.
The plates hold all body parts of the gun together, including the independent magwell, making it easy to swap out magwells on the fly (a concept previously seen in guns like the MOD-9). The v3 supports a wide variety of magwells including Glock, Evo, Sten and MP5. The first two will have LRBHO support, and the last two will have a bolt catch.
A doublestack v3 will require a modification to the standard Mac upper and bolt. Jigs are provided to help you perform these modification.
You can also use Middleton’s new M-M11 S upper in your v3 build! This upper natively supports both single and doublestack mags and features a nonreciprocating charging handle - plus it looks damn cool. This upper is not v3 only and can also be used with any other Mac build that fits a standard footprint upper.
The Mac n’ Cheese v3 is in beta as we speak at Middleton’s Discord server. It’s an open beta, so if you’d like to join, just click this Discord invite link!
StolenBoiStudios Passes the Printable Uzi Torch
Those keeping tabs on StolenBoiStudios’ printable Uzi project may have wondered what happened following StolenBoi’s raid and subsequent departure. Wonder no longer - he has now released the Oozie project, in its current (unfinished) state, for someone else to pick up.
This isn’t really a beta, but I’m not sure of a better place to put it in the newsletter. StolenBoi’s writeup contains some details about the project and the remaining problems to troubleshoot. Will someone pick it up? I hope so!
Side note - I’m a major fan of devs releasing their unfinished projects for others to pick up in this manner, so long as they are clearly labeled as such. The alternative is for this valuable work to be lost forever.
News:
In this section we’ll review major news events either originating in the 3D2A space, or particularly pertinent to this space.
Latest Guncad Index Features
It’s pretty much a guarantee that every Guncad Digest will mention the latest features at the Guncad Index. We’ve got some good ones this time around.
First, as you can see in the screenshot above, you can now (more properly) filter by channel! Just click the name of a channel in any of their projects to be taken to their full channel listing.
Second, you can now filter your searches by relative date. Want to only see the absolute latest stuff? Reduce your filter to the last month, or even last week! This is a good step towards a future feature allowing you to (for example) filter to a specific time frame, so you can go back in time and see what guncad was like in 2020.
Great work as always from Shittinator! Also, if you haven’t already, check the Index footer for some fun codes. :)
Other Links:
This section will collect any other links I find interesting. These may be older designs I want to share, releases I find notable but don’t have much commentary on, or anything else that catches my eye.
If there was an award for “most mentioned in Guncad Digest”, unseenkiller would win it. Here we have a collection of risers, some at a reasonable height, others quite unreasonable. I dare you to use one of these in a competition.
GreenWhiskey brings us a DIY two-point quick-adjust sling, with printable sliders, attachment points and even a TPU shoulder pad. This is another example of how useful 3D2A is for accessories!
If unseenkiller takes first in “most mentioned”, Here2printeverything might take second. The bolt action design we mentioned in our last issue now has a name, the Walkabout. Presumably, like his other designs, it will be developed and tested at BLC.
Our boy Proof brings us a reference model for the AR-10, specifically the Stoner pattern variant. This is not the whole gun, only the barrel, mag and BCG - all of which will come in very useful for future .308 projects!
I had to see this and now you do too.
